Zwiebelkuchen

The Zwiebelkuchen is a savory Blechkuchen topped with onions, cream or sour cream, eggs, and bacon. It is very popular in Autumn in Germany's wine regions.  

Main Ingredients
The dough is traditionally made with flour, butter, milk, salt, and yeast. The cake is then topped with onions, along with other flavorful items such as bacon, cream, caraway seeds, and paprika.

Serving Suggestions
The Zwiebelkuchen taste best fresh out of the oven. If you have left-overs, it can be re-heated in a 325°F (160°C) oven for 5 minutes. It also freezes well.
