Herzhaftes Limburger Gemüseragout
(Hearty Limburger & Vegetable Ragout)
1 lb shaped Noodles
1/2 lb carrots (washed and chopped)
1/2 lb Broccoli (washed and chopped)
1/2 lb Turnips (washed and chopped)
1/4 lb Celery (washed and chopped)
2 Garlic Cloves (finely chopped)
1 1/2 cups Whipping Cream
7 oz (200g) Limburger Cheese (about 3/4 cup)
7 Tablespoons Butter
Salt
Fresh Pepper
Cayenne Pepper
Cook noodle in boiling salt water until "al dente." Drain and set aside.
In a pot, melt butter and add garlic. Cook garlic for 2 minutes. Mix in vegetables, salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper. Lower heat. Add cream to the vegetables and cook on low heat until vegetables are cooked.
Grease a casserole dish with butter. Alternate layers of noodles with layers of vegetables. Cover with the cooked cream.
Slice the Limburger Cheese into thin slices. Cover the ragout with the Limburger Cheese slices.
Bake in high heat until cheese is melted.
