German Food Guide

Content Guidelines

General Guidelines
The German Food Guide allows businesses to contribute different kinds of content, including business descriptions, photos, videos, recipes, events, blog entries, blog feeds, etc.  Please follow the guidelines presented below for any types of content that you might contribute to the site.

Inappropriate content: Please no for threats, harassment, lewdness, hate speech, and other displays of bigotry.
Relevance: Please make sure your contributions are relevant and appropriate to the Site. Any content you provide should be about your business and German food.  For example, please do not include any information about an Italian Lasagna night as this would not be relevant to German food.
Privacy: Don't publicize other people's private information. Please don't post photos of customers and other people without their permission, and please don't post other people's full names unless you're referring to service providers who are commonly identified by their full names.
Intellectual property:  Do not copy content from other sites, other businesses, or other sources (such as printed materials). Please always write your own contant and take your own photos.
Accuracy: Throughout your business listing, please include only accurate, up-to-date information. You and your organization are solely responsible for the content and accuracy of your business information, events, recipes, and blog entries. If any information has changed, you and your organization are fully responsible for making the necessary changes.

Business Description Guidelines
Please use the "About Us" space to tell your listing visitors a little something special about your business. Please keep it relevant: don't use this feature to attack your competitors, customers, or the German Food Guide. Do not use the space to seed keywords.

Photo and Video Guidelines

Business photos and videos should be broadly relevant to the business and reflect the typical consumer experience (e.g., what your business looks like, what your business offers, etc.). Please choose only good quality photos and videos (for example, not blurry or too dark).

Event Guidelines
The events calendar is to be used for public German food-related events only. You may include events such as special holiday festivals (for example Maifest, Christmas festivals), special food events (such as Schnitzelfest, Spargelfest), special entertainment at restaurants and Biergartens, special sales and promotions, and special menus. Only public events are allowed to be listed.

Recipe Guidelines
Please submit only your own recipes.  If you wish to submit a recipe which is not your own, please do not copy it word-for-word, but rather provide your own recipe background information as well as your own instructions on how you make the dish.
