Bayerische Creme is a vanilla cream, thickened with gelatine, whipped cream, and egg yolks. It is served with fruits or chocolate

Main Ingredients
Gelatine, egg yolks, sugar, milk, vanilla bean, heavy whipping cream.

This dish dates back to the 1300's. It is believed that Isabeau de Baviere, daughter of the Duke of Bavaria, created this dish for her husband, King Charles VI of France. However, it is not known if she invented the dish in France or brought the recipe with her from Germany.
