Spargel mit zerlassener Butter
(Asparagus with Melted Butter)
4 1/2 to 5 lbs Asparagus
12 cups water
1 teaspoon Salt
pinch of Sugar
1 teaspoon melted Butter
1/2 cup (1 stick) Butter
2 tablespoons Chopped, Fresh Parsley
1 tablespoon Bread Crumbs
Wash the asparagus. If using white asparagus, peel the asparagus. Add water to a large pot along with 1 teaspoon salt and 1 teaspoon butter. Cook the asparagus in the 10-15 minutes. Remove the asparagus and arragne on a serving platter.
Pour melted butter over asparagus. Sprinkle with bread crumbs and parsley. Serve immediately.
