Butterkäse

Butterkäse is a semi-hard cheese that is usually produced in a loaf or log form. It is creamy and mild, and tastes similar to butter, which is where its name is derived.

Cooking and Preparation Tips
Butterkäse is great for sandwiches and cheese platters. Its also a favorite cheese for breakfast. Allow cheese to sit at room temperature for 30 minutes before serving to develop aroma and flavor.

Butterkäse also melts nicely so it can be cooked with as well.

It pairs wells with a Rosé or a light red or white wine.
